Census Bureau: More women than men in Chicopee in 2017


Of the 55,778 people living in Chicopee in 2017, 51 percent (28,457) were women and 49 percent (27,321) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Massachusetts Business Daily.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 17,908-to-17,349. In the 65 years and over age range, there were 5,654 females and 4,073 males.
