42.5 percent of Williams College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018


In 2017-2018, 42.5 percent of Williams College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Williams College has 2,095 undergraduate students, of which 52 percent are men and 48 percent are women, and a total student body of 2,149 students. Of these students, 513 men and 400 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Williams College with the most participants are track and field, indoor (109), track and field, outdoor (101) and rowing (83).
