85 percent of applicants to Western New England University were admitted for fall 2018


At Western New England University, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 63 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Springfield enrolled 3,780 students in fall 2018, including 2,751 in undergraduate and 1,029 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

48 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 51 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (9 percent).

The school admitted 85 percent of the 6,458 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 14 percent enrolled.
