The ITA reports trade totals for exports in the largest export metros in the U.S. The Boston-Cambridge-Newton metro area, which consists of 7 counties in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, exported $23.12 billion in 2017. Middlesex County's total exports accounted for 39.8 percent of the metro area's total exports.
