ALKU: ALKU Bowls a Strike…For the Kids!

ALKU issued the following announcement on March 18.

Last Friday night, some of the ALKrew left the office early to Bowl a Strike…For the Kids! The ALKrew headed over to Academy Lanes in Bradford for the Family Services of the Merrimack Valley Bowl a Strike for Kids fundraiser!

Bowl a Strike for Kids is an annual fundraiser that the ALKrew participates in. As part of our #ALKUGivesBack mission, and our partnership and support for the youth mentoring cause, we love to get involved with youth mentoring initiatives in our local community. Family Services of the Merrimack Valley is a “non-profit social service agency engaged in game changing work which helps children and families live their BEST lives. Our purpose is to drive outcomes, and we do so by nurturing inner strengths, teaching life skills, championing emotional wellness and providing vital community-based resources in the Merrimack Valley,” (Family Services website).

The ALKrew loves doing it #FORTHEKIDS and the Bowl a Strike fundraiser is a great way to get involved. This year’s fundraiser was 80s themed, transporting participants to decades past with big hair, blue eyeshadow, 80s rock, and disco lights a plenty. ALKU purchased 12 tickets for ALKrew members to attend the fundraiser, with all proceeds benefitting Family Services. Everyone who attended was able to bowl as much as they liked while enjoying pizza and beverages. In typical #HaveFunWorkingHard fashion, a few ALKrew members Bowled a Strike while staffing! Where’s the most interesting place you’ve made a staffing extension? I know some of the ALKrew can now answer at the candlestick bowling alley!

Big shout out to the ALKrew members who came out on a Friday night #FORTHEKIDS:

D’Andre Drummond-Mayrie, Adam DeGregorio, Charlie Nevejans, Danielle Ledoux, Devon Sittler, Jenn Dupuis, Jenn Riedl, Dan Alberico, Mike King, Zack Tougias, Brian Foley, and Mike Kierman—we appreciate you, and your bowling skills!
