60 percent of applicants to Simmons College were admitted for fall 2017


At Simmons College, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 100 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Boston enrolled 6,283 students in fall 2017, including 1,739 in undergraduate and 4,544 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 41 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (64 percent) and Asian (10 percent).

The school admitted 60 percent of the 3,483 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
